BSW 2020 Faculty: Jonas Brouwers

Jonas Brouwers, MD KU Leuven

Jonas Brouwers obtained his MD from the Leuven university in 2018. 

He is currently combining his residency in orthopaedic surgery with a master in healthcare policy and management and is a PhD-researcher at the Leuven Institute for Healthcare Policy.

At present, he is president of the Leuven Association of Medical Residents (LVGA) and board member of the Flemish Association of Medical Specialists in Training. 

As such, he is also member of the medical council from the UZ Leuven and of the Permanent EducationCcommittee of the faculty of medicine in Leuven.

Dr. Brouwers accepted to give his lectures during the virtual BSW dedicated to COVID-19 entitled:

-      "Impact of the first COVID-19 wave on surgical training in Belgium" during the 'Surgery in times of COVID-19: Some aspects of surgical activity' session on November 27th 2020.
