The Belgian Group for Endoscopic Surgery stays a standout amongst the most dynamic national developments in Europe. The BGES they made was one of the main exploratory social orders committed to laparoscopic surgery worldwide and has since been a foundation of the fast improvement of laparoscopic surgery in Belgium. The leading body of the BGES, its engine, comprises of 10 committed laparoscopic specialists, equitably appropriated amongst scholastic and non-scholarly, Flemish and Walloon. Board individuals are chosen for a long time and can be re-chosen once. The BGES is associated with the RBSS, the Royal Belgian Society of Surgery.
Our main goal and our instruments:
We have three objectives: First of all staying in contact with laparoscopic surgery, monitoring new improvements, new advancements, new strategies. Laparoscopic surgery is a field where new systems regularly need approval, where eminences and self-images tend to run over logical confirmation and where numerous new procedures are industry-driven. We have a receptive outlook and need to offer a stage for curiosities in the laparoscopic field where defenders can present their defences and doubters can provoke them. Three Monday evening sessions, hands-on courses for specialists and our half-yearly congress are sorted out so as to accomplish this. We additionally need to be a spot where laparoscopic specialists meet and collaborate. In the tissue on our gatherings and online on our new site. Our semi-annual congress trip mirrors this logic: to make a warm collegial environment where fellowship meets science. Building up and engaging contacts with remote laparoscopic groups expand our viewpoint. At last, we need to be a piece of laparoscopic preparing of surgical inhabitants. Our partners of tomorrow merit our consideration. We offer hands on workshops for surgical learners and collaborate intimately with the BAST, the Belgian Association of Surgical Trainees. The BGES is likewise required in the FUS (Formation Universities Specified) in Wallonia.

Dear members
Dear colleagues
Welcome to the new BGES website www.bges.be!
The Belgian Group for Endoscopic Surgery is an affiliated society of the Royal Belgian Society of Surgery. It is a scientific organization focusing on teaching and training in all aspects of minimally invasive surgery (MIS). As such, we aim to unite all surgeons and surgical trainees with a specific interest in MIS. BGES is run by a board of 10 surgeons from both academic and non-academic hospitals coming from the French and Flemish speaking parts of Belgium. Annually, BGES organizes theoretic, hands-on, and scientific courses for different target audiences covering a wide variety of MIS. Please take a look at our program (BGES agenda) and I hope to see you on one or many of our events!
Best regards
