Postgraduate course

5th Chest Wall Surgery postgraduate course

In conjunction with the Annual CWIG meeting, we will also offer participation in the 5th edition of the Chest Wall Surgery Course.

The 4th day of the conference week will be in full dedicated to tips and tricks from reknowned experts in the field of chest wall surgery.

We will offer you a half day lab session where techniques involving the chest wall including pectus surgery, reconstruction and trauma can be rehearsed on cadavers and mannekins under supervision of world experts. This exercise lab will give you the opportunity to get familiar with several solutions that are available on the market.
During the 'Master@work' session in the second half of the course day, experts will share their tips, tricks and rationales by means of short technical video presentations in several aspects of chest surgery.

As to maximize interaction with the faculty during these sessions, we will split the group of attendees over the two session areas, one at the KU Leuven Anatomy - Vesalius institute and one at the Orchid auditorium both at the KU Leuven - UZ Leuven Health Sciences Campus Gasthuisberg . In between sessions, all participants will convene for a walking lunch in the Foyer of the Orchid auditorium.
